MICC graduates contract leaders, master gunner courses

502nd Air Base Wing observes Denim Day April 24 to support SAAPM
Denim Day is an internationally recognized SAAPM activity that started in Italy. In 1998, The Italian Supreme Court overturned a rape conviction because the Court members believed the victim “gave” consent. They believed this because the victim had to help her offender remove her tight skinny jeans. Following the verdict, the infuriated woman of the Italian Parliament launched a protest by wearing jeans on the steps of the Supreme Court. These protests birthed the tradition which is now known as “Denim Day.” This activity continues to be an annual event for sexual assault awareness around the globe for the last 25 years.
