During a press conference at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, on Dec. 4, Airmen from the 37th Security Forces Squadron hold the English version of TxDOT's whimsical drunken driving prevention campaign poster. The conference announced the start of the Texas Department of Transportation's annual four-week holiday campaign. All the campaign material, to include television commercials, billboards, adverstisements at gas stations and cardboard coasters, are printed in English and Spanish. Lining up shoes discarded at the base fitness centers, Ken Hack helps unpack three large bags of discarded clothing and four used basketballs at The House of Neighborly Service on Nov. 19. This is the second time this year the fitness center staff donated items collected in the seven fitness centers' lost and found. The Warhawk Fitness Center staff has also collected four large boxes of food in conjunction with the ongoing food drive for the shelter. According to Mr. Hack, the Warhawk Fitness Center director and base fitness director, customers who donate five or more food products before Dec. 31 will receive a free sports bottle.
